Beginners\' localisation course

Localisation is a process where a product or content is adapted to the requirements and special features of the target environment. Characteristics of the target environment which have to be taken into consideration include, for example, the specific language, the time environment, particular national traits, date and time formats, currencies, traffic regulations and holidays.

A good localiser must know all the specifics of the target environment and adjust the translated content to such needs.

The Beginners’ Localisation course is intended for all translators who wish to learn about localisation in more detail and for everyone who has a good command of at least one foreign language and would like to start working in the area of localisation.
